The village

Once upon a time in a medieval village…

Discover the history of this amazing ancient town and the Rock towering above it.
It all began in the year 1000 or so, around a fortified stronghold, the Castrum.
Later, the Village grew with the addition of a street, Rue des Portiques, and picturesque arcaded houses next to the elegant bell tower and the large parish church.

Down a narrow street,

discover the ancestral expertise of our craftspeople and three chocolate makers. Then, as you leave the Village, meet the people who produce wine, olive oil, honey, and much more. A whole world of culinary treats awaits you. Food-lovers, gourmets, fans of old stone buildings, come visit the museums and interpretative centres – Maison du Terroir, Maison du Chocolat & Cacao and Maison du Patrimone.

The Rock of Roquebrune

The Rock of Roquebrune towers 376 metres above the village and offers a 360° panoramic view.

River Argens

The Argens flows below the Rock of Roquebrune to the rivermouth at Fréjus where it joins the Mediterranean.
